Grant's Whiskies

Built in 1963, Girvan Distillery was an amazing feat at the time, taking just 9 months to build. Charles Gordon and four hundred locals worked around the clock to make sure one of the most advanced distilleries in the world was ready in time for the first spirit to be bottled on Christmas Day, as was the case at our sister distillery, Glenfiddich in 1887. In 1990, we installed our first patent still, enabling our unique method of making grain whisky. Today, our Girvan grain whisky is seen as one of the best in the world and is at the heart of every single bottle of Grant’s.

Grant's Tripple Wood Whisky

Triple Wood for a smoother taste.

Many whiskies take their flavour from just one cask, but we mature Grant’s Triple Wood in three different types of wood: Virgin Oak cask provides spicy robustness, American Oak lends subtle vanilla smoothness and Bourbon refill offers brown sugar sweetness, resulting in a smoother, richer, mellower taste.

Nose
Complex, clean with notes of ripe pear and summer fruits.

Taste
Balances vanilla sweetness with malty and light floral fragrances.

Finish
Long and sweet with a subtle hint of smoke.

Many whiskies take their flavour from just one cask, but we mature Grant’s Triple Wood 12 in three different types of wood: Sherry cask provides sweet spice robustness, American Oak lends subtle vanilla smoothness and Bourbon refill offers brown sugar sweetness, resulting in a rich, complex, vanilla taste.

Nose

Sweet and sherry-like, with dried fruits. Subtle woody notes and malty undertones.

Taste
Vanilla, honey and spice. All mixed together for a rich, sweet flavour. Aged grains and peated malt add depth, too.

Finish
Long soothing and warm, a feeling you won’t want to rush.
