Gold Barrel-Aged Rum

Made from freshly harvested sugar cane which is then crushed, fermented, distilled, aged and bottled on site in limited batches. Tapanga Barrel Aged is an ideal elegant sipping rum.
A play on the word panga, the knife used to harvest sugar cane, Tapanga is a single estate product, grown and distilled on a sugar cane farm in the Gingindlovu district in Kwazulu Natal. The first distillery in South Africa to produce Rhum Agricole, a French term for sugar cane juice rum, a style of rum originally distilled in the French Caribbean islands from freshly squeezed sugar cane juice rather than molasses.
